Matthias Hönig

Born 1974 in Borna and studied Architecture at the Leipzig University of Applied Sciences from 1994 to 2000. He has been working for Schulz und Schulz since 2000 and has been a project manager since 2001, responsible for projects such as the New Nikolai School in Leipzig, the Cloud Laboratory of the Leibniz-Institut für Troposphärenforschung in Leipzig, the police station in Chemnitz-South, the modular construction of a series of children’s daycare facilities in Munich, Computer and logistics centre at the Institut für Troposphärenforschung (Institute for Tropospheric Research) in Leipzig, the Heiterblick Technical Centre in Leipzig (main workshop, storage hall, business workshop), Laboratory building for the Leibniz-Institut für Troposphärenforschung (Leibniz Institute for Tropospheric Research) in Leipzig, Student centre at Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hannover, Primary school with two gymnasiums in Leipzig, Branch office Schmitt + Sohn in Karlovy Vary (CZ), Primary school Senftenauerstrasse with gymnasium and natatorium in Munich and high school with two 3-field sports halls Prager Spitze Leipzig. Since 2008 he has been Office Manager and since 2013 he has been directing business operations and representing the company to clients as an authorised signatory. Matthias Hönig has been an expert in sustainable construction since 2020. Since 2020 he has been managing director of Schulz und Schulz Architekten GmbH.
